Sculpture

When Sally Ducrow began direct carving, her principal mentor told her: “Let the stone guide you”, advice she has always tried to follow. Often featuring a combination of stone with wood or other elements, much of her work displays pared-down forms and fluid lines which capture the essence of her subject, whether abstract or figurative.  Her inspiration is drawn largely from myth, legend, and natural phenomena.  She is also known for her sculptures of cats and birds.
